We give back

Gift terms: MacBook, iPhone or iPad

Every student who enrols through Unlimit gets new tech for their life abroad. These terms explain who qualifies, how your counsellor confirms which gift you get, and when it arrives.

The offer in brief

  • Apply to a partner university with Unlimit’s help, then enrol and start your program, and you get a MacBook, iPhone or iPad.
  • Your counsellor decides which device based on your enrolment, and confirms it to you in writing.
  • We deliver it once the university has confirmed your enrolment and the first-term withdrawal deadline has passed.
  • One gift per student. No cash alternative, and it can’t be transferred.
  • If we ever change or end the offer, gifts we’ve already confirmed are always honoured.

Who qualifies

You qualify for a gift when all of these are true:

  1. You applied through Unlimit. Your application to the university was made with an Unlimit counsellor’s help and is recorded in your Unlimit profile. Applications you made on your own, or through another agent, don’t count, even if you talked to us later.
  2. The university is a partner university. A partner university is one that has an agreement to pay Unlimit when a student we helped enrols. Your counsellor tells you in writing whether each university on your shortlist is a partner before you apply.
  3. You enrolled and started the program. You accepted the offer, enrolled and began your studies, and the university has confirmed your enrolment to us.
  4. You’re still enrolled after the first-term withdrawal deadline. This is the last date in your first term when the university lets students withdraw with a tuition refund (sometimes called the census date). Your counsellor will tell you the date for your program.
  5. The information you gave us and the university was true.

Which gift you get

  • The gift is one of: a MacBook, an iPhone or an iPad.
  • Your counsellor decides which one, based on your enrolment (for example the university and program), and confirms it to you in writing by email or WhatsApp. We call this your gift confirmation. Until you have it, no particular device has been promised.
  • The device is new and is a current model chosen by Unlimit. We choose the model, colour, storage and configuration. You can’t pay the difference to upgrade.
  • If the confirmed device isn’t available when we order it, we’ll give you a comparable or better device of the same type.

When and how you receive it

  • Your gift confirmation includes the expected delivery date. We arrange delivery after the university has confirmed your enrolment and the first-term withdrawal deadline has passed, and aim to deliver within 60 days of that.
  • We deliver to an address in the country where you’re studying, or in another way we agree with you in writing. We pay the delivery costs.
  • Where possible we buy the device in the country we deliver it in, so the manufacturer’s local warranty applies. Unlimit doesn’t give a separate warranty; any fault is handled under the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • We may ask you to confirm when it arrives.

One gift per student

Each student can receive one gift, however many universities you apply to, programs you’re offered or courses you later take through us. If friends or siblings each qualify on their own, they each get their own gift.

No cash, no swaps, no transfers

  • There’s no cash alternative, and the gift can’t be exchanged for money, credit or a discount.
  • Once your gift is confirmed it can’t be swapped for a different type of device.
  • The gift is personal to you and can’t be transferred to someone else before it’s delivered. Once it’s delivered, it’s yours.

If you defer, withdraw or leave

  • Deferral: if the university lets you defer your place, the gift becomes due when you start the deferred program and the conditions above are met. A gift confirmation carries over, though the device may be updated to the current model at that time.
  • Withdrawal before you start, or before the first-term withdrawal deadline: no gift is due. This includes a refused visa or study permit that means you can’t start.
  • Tuition refund: if the university refunds your first-term tuition because you withdrew or cancelled, no gift is due.
  • Changing university: if you enrol at a different university through an application you didn’t make with Unlimit, no gift is due.
  • After delivery: the gift is yours, even if you later change course or leave the program. We’ll only ask for it back in the case of fraud (below).

Fraud and misuse

We won’t give a gift, and may cancel a gift confirmation, if we reasonably believe someone has provided false information or documents, used more than one identity, or arranged an enrolment mainly to obtain the gift. If a gift was delivered because of fraud, we may ask for it to be returned or for its retail value to be repaid, and we may report the matter to the university or the authorities.

Changes to the offer

  • We may change or end this offer for future applications. If we do, we’ll update this page at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
  • Applications you submitted through Unlimit before the change takes effect stay covered by the terms in force when you submitted them.
  • Any gift we have confirmed to you in writing will always be honoured.

Taxes and duties

We pay the purchase price, delivery and any import duties on deliveries we arrange, so you pay nothing to receive your gift. If the gift counts as income for you under the tax rules where you live, any personal tax on it is your responsibility. If you need its value for a tax return, ask us and we’ll tell you.

Your data

To arrange your gift we use your name, contact details, enrolment confirmation and delivery address, and share the delivery details with the retailer and courier. See our privacy policy.
